One of MiiL’s major media literacy projects is Smart’Web, a platform designed to raise awareness and empower young people in their digital practices. The Smart’Web project aims to provide media literacy education for teenagers. Smart’Web is a project co-funded by the Tides Foundation, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, and UCLouvain. The basics of the project

The project, conceived by MiiL Recherche, was developed by a committee of expert researchers and professors from a variety of disciplines. Dynamic implementation The technical and stylistic design of the project was created by young people for young people: around 20 young adults with a wide range of expertise (IT specialists, filmmakers, civil engineers, graphic designers, translators, psychologists, novelists, communications officers, video editors, etc.) worked on developing a platform tailored to the needs of teenagers, under the supervision of experienced researchers.

Throughout its design, Smart’Web has been evaluated by teenage test users (UX) to improve its content.
